SPARK GRANTS

Do you need a little help but you're not sure where to go? You've got us! Spark Grants are awarded to individuals seeking stabilizing, supportive, or unique funds in three areas: The Arts, Community Impact, and Personal Crisis. What does this mean? Spark Grants assist individuals in getting out of sticky situations, completing personal growth projects, expanding one’s creativity or advancing one’s career, bettering their communities - and so much more! Spark Grants can be a maximum of $2,500.

All applications will be reviewed by the Dream Warriors Foundation Grant Selection Committee consisting of nine local advisors. Have questions for applying? Reach out to us on our Contact Us Page.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply

  • Valid Driver's License or ID

  • Individuals must reside in Metro Atlanta as defined by the Atlanta Regional Commission

  • Applicants must meet the requirements as outlined by the Dream Warriors Foundation in the Spark Grant Applications

  • Must identify as women, femme-identifying, or non-binary

Applicants may apply annually.

The Arts

Sponsored by and in partnership with dashboard

The Arts Spark Grant supports human-centered design and arts-forward projects that seek to improve the livability of public spaces. Specific requirements for desired projects will be outlined in the 2019 application.

Community Impact

Sponsored by and in partnership with cultivate union

The Community Impact Spark Grant supports community engagement and wellbeing projects led by an individual or a group of individuals that seek to foster change within a specific community or neighborhood in Metro Atlanta. Specific requirements for desired projects will be outlined in the 2019 application.

Personal Crisis

The Personal Crisis Spark Grant is awarded to individuals who have recently endured a negatively life-altering event that has impacted one’s physical, mental or emotional health, and caused harm to one’s life and well-being. Qualifying life events will be listed in the 2019 application.

ANNUAL BIG IDEA GRANT

Do you have a big idea that you're not quite sure how to get started? We're here to help! The annual Big Idea Grant is awarded to qualified individuals or groups seeking startup funds for new ventures in the Metro Atlanta area. In addition to the $15,000 startup funds, recipients of the Big Idea Grant will also receive mentorship, marketing support, and networking to ensure a well-rounded, sustainable and successful startup.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older to apply

  • Valid Driver's License or ID

  • Ventures must be headquartered and operating in Metro Atlanta as defined by the Atlanta Regional Commission

  • Ventures must be 50% women, femme-identifying, or non-binary owned.

  • Ventures have to show one year of an operating budget (venture must be in operation for one fiscal year prior to applying)

  • Applicants must meet the requirements as outlined by the Dream Warriors Foundation in the Big Idea Grant Application

  • Ventures applying as a group may only fill out one application per venture.

Applicants may apply annually. The Big Idea Grants are awarded annually to one individual or one group of individuals.
